A NEW CHAPTER
Just getting started
Kelpie Terrier began in August 2026 as a shared place for the things we make, the things we find, and the things we think are worth reviving. We’re starting with revived archival art, with more to come.
See what’s available now.
Our current collection lives in the Kelpie Terrier Etsy shop.
A LITTLE BACKGROUND
Our Story
Kelpie Terrier is the shared workshop of Jonathan and Rebekah — part studio, part salvage operation, part excuse to keep making things.
The name is a small nod to the dogs who have shared our lives: a Kelpie and a Terrier. Together, the words sounded less like a breed and more like the name over the door of a shop filled with things we’d fallen in love with. That felt right.
We like things with character. And when we find or make something we really enjoy, our instinct is usually to share it.
Sometimes that means making something from scratch — a blanket, a hat, a small creature, or something considerably less sensible. Sometimes it means finding a great old object and giving it another chance. And sometimes it means digging through archives, old books, museum collections, and forgotten illustrations to find artwork that deserves to be seen again.
The common thread isn’t a particular medium. It’s finding something good — whether newly made or long forgotten — and putting it back into the world for someone else to enjoy.
We have a particular soft spot for things that have been overlooked, worn down, forgotten, or discarded. Good things are worth making, finding, preserving, repairing, and bringing back into everyday life.
So Kelpie Terrier will probably always be a little difficult to categorize. That’s intentional.
